Aliko Dangote is the founder of the Dangote Group of Companies, over which he presides as President and Chief Executive. He has been the Chairman of Dangote Cement since its formation and is also the Chairman of other listed companies in Dangote Industries. A graduate of Business Studies from the Al-Azahar University, Cairo, Egypt, he started business in 1978 trading in commodities before entering into full-scale manufacturing. Mr. Dangote is well known for his involvement in local and international initiatives to improve healthcare and well being.
